This auction features a pair of Sambonet silverplate hotelware serving platters, each with unique charm and history, measuring 25 3/4 x 10 3/4 inches. Both from the renowned Conrad Hilton Chicago, one exhibits significant tarnish and surface scratches, requiring polishing to restore its former shine. The other platter shows fine scratches consistent with heavy use but remains visually appealing with only minor tarnish. Both pieces highlight the expert craftsmanship of Sambonet, an esteemed Italian manufacturer established in 1856, making them a prized addition for collectors of vintage hotelware.
