Japanese woodblock print created by Utagawa Kunisada II (1823-1880), titled ‘Chapter 22, Tamakatsura: Fifty-Four Chapters of the False Genji,’ dated to 1864. The artwork features three elaborately dressed figures in a traditional Japanese setting, adorned with vivid patterns and intricate details. Calligraphy is visible in the upper section, as well as the artist’s signature in the lower corner. Dimensions are approximately 14 inches high, 9.5 inches wide. Has minor trimming. A fine example of Edo-period woodblock artistry showcasing theatrical and cultural themes.
