Japanese woodblock print by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902-2000) titled Mount Fuji from a Road, part of the Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji series created in 1941. Known as one of the foremost Japanese woodblock print artists of the 20th century, Tokuriki merged traditional ukiyo-e styles with modern techniques, creating works that are both timeless and innovative. This print displays a serene composition featuring Mount Fuji as seen from a road, accompanied by houses and a waterfront setting. Measuring 16 inches high by 11 1/4 inches wide, the piece has a slight restoration on the right corner. A fine example of Tokuriki's skillful use of color and composition.
