This beautiful Japanese woodblock print titled 'Cineraria' (シネラリア) is by the renowned artist Rakuzan Tsuchiya (土屋楽山), active during the 1920s-1930s. Tsuchiya is celebrated for his kacho-e (bird-and-flower pictures) in the shin-hanga style, with his notable series 'Rakuzan Kachō Gafu' published in Kyoto highlighting his delicate detail and realistic representations of nature. Please note this print has been cut from a larger portfolio and exhibits significant overall toning (yellowing) and visible foxing (small brown spots), especially in the margins and lighter areas. A dark smudge is present over the title text at the bottom left, and the right edge is roughly cut. Despite these imperfections, this work remains a striking piece for any collection. Dimensions: 11 1/2 x 17 inches.
