This auction features a rare set comprising a vintage 1969 Aurora Lockheed AH-56A Cheyenne model kit (No. 502) and the original production art painting of the box side panel. The model kit box is 10 x 10 x 3 inches and includes unbuilt parts, an instruction sheet, and a decal sheet (viability unknown). The original box exhibits significant shelf wear, including corner rubbing, edge wear, and creasing, and is classified as Fair. The original production artwork is painted on illustration board, showcasing the helicopter's side profile, and features production markings including '#502 AH 56 A CHEYENNE'. The art shows age-related toning, minor corner bumps, and a small tear, while the painted image remains vibrant and in excellent condition. This unique pairing of a vintage model kit and original artwork is exceptionally rare and highly desirable to collectors, especially given the historical significance of the AH-56 Cheyenne. This set not only is a collectible but a piece of aviation history.
