Up for auction is a charming Ideal Toy Co. 1949 Pontiac Streamliner Sedan Wind-Up Toy Car. Measuring approximately 8 x 3 x 2 1/2 inches, this vintage collectible showcases the iconic design of post-war America. The plastic body is in good structural condition with minor scuffs and scratches, while the silver-painted trim presents some wear and flaking. Despite this, the car remains a desirable piece for collectors, complete with its original wind-up key—the functionality of which is untested. The clear plastic windows are intact, albeit slightly cloudy with light scuffing. The metal chassis displays areas of paint loss and surface oxidation, yet the original rubber tires are present and seem intact. This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of toy history from a company legendary for its creativity and craftsmanship. Don't miss out on adding this nostalgic item to your collection!
